The Sturdy Jacket

A sustainable jacket is a jacket that ages well. So in search of inspiration, we naturally visited a couple of secondhand stores. We had a big crush for this old workwear jacket. We studied each detail to understand its story.We noted its pockets were reinforced in case you would put sharp tools in it, its inner seams were reinforced and the fit was comfortable enough to be able to work with.

Using the same finish to make it sturdy, here is how we restyled this jacket ! To minimize its impact on the environment, we decided to NOT produce any new fabrics. So we searched for deadstock fabrics. Lucky us, we found this beautiful Japanese twill from the LVMH group that was sleeping in a warehouse. The good news? It has a low carbon impact. The bad news? We can't reproduce the fabric, so it's a limited edition.

Its gorgeous eco-friendly buttons that look like toffees are made with corozo. Also known as the vegetable ivory, they’re 100% natural. We've picked an Oeko-Tex certified dye.

Regarding its design, we've added a new pocket for your mobile phone as they probably didn't have a couple of decades ago.

Women - Lola is 1m67 and is a size S. She's wearing a size XS on the pictures. Fit is oversize. You should go for one size smaller than your usual size.
